You could make the argument that Nike’s line of Air Jordan sneakers are responsible for the sneaker culture of today. With the innovative designs and annual editions, athletic sneakers became collectible and high fashion for the first time. It also showed the retail world that consumers were willing to pay top dollar for a sneaker. The unprecedented success lead to a spin off brand: Jordan, which is a sub division of Nike. Jordan Brand continues to put out new sneaker models long past Michael Jordan’s retirement from basketball, such as the 60+ seen above.

I’ve never been obsessed with Jordan’s, but I have an enormous respect for what these sneakers have meant to the sneaker world. I would also be lying if I said I haven’t worn many pairs of Jordan’s myself.

    These are ok. I like most of the Jordans from the mid 90s. MJ was at his peek and his sneakers were too.
